Regarding exercises to be less nasal: A "speaking 101" class from a local drama department can also be helpful. The one I took in college felt like a gym class in a foreign country for the first couple of months because the teacher had us learning how to move, stand, breathe, and speak gibberish so we could get a sense of how to control our voices without being distracted by trying to say words correctly.
It doesn't get rid of your natural accent, but it gives people some tools they can use as well as an awareness of if something they're doing may be limiting how long they can use their voice.
